Diary entry (Dorian Gray)

My Dear Diary,

I think this is it. I am a complete idiot. Why did I do that? I love her, truly, but I say to her, that I can't be with her! I'm a complete moron, I just ruined a chance of love. Well, that's what I get. But I do love Sybil truly, but I can't express myself to her. But that's not the only thing. My portrait, it... it started to change. My scars, that I got, those appeared on my portrait on the same place I had it on my body. Yes, HAD it, the scars disappear on my body. Like it was never there. What's happening?

Success is...

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”
― Winston Churchill

What I mean by this is hat success is not a thing that people a born with. There has to be failure, because nothing an be perfect at the moment. As Salvador Dali said:

“Have no fear of perfection - you'll never reach it.”

To me, success is achieving my dreams. To peruse what I want to do in my life. Now of course not every dream can be reached. But who knows? I might just go to the Olympics  as a sports woman. Or I might just become the world's best photographer and work for Vogue.

Discursive essay

Crime is one of the most important issues in Serbia. In the last few years the crime rate has been going up. The most common felonies are burglary, rape, drug dealing and murder. Lots of people think that the only way we can solve this problem is making punishment more severe.
On the one hand, punishment here is truly too permissive. For example, there were some cases when a criminal was not incarcerated just because the prisons were totally full. Many people feel that in order to be rightful, this cannot be allowed. In addition to this, in our country it is tolerated to steal up to 15 000 dinars without being arrested or anyhow punished. The idea of restoring the death penalty also has some supporters. According to their opinion, if the sentences were harder, less people would commit crimes.
On the other hand, there are some arguments against more severe punishment. People point out that the main reason for theft is poverty and the poor steal due to the high level of unemployment. They suggest that the government should use public work as a punishment in those cases when people commit minor crimes because they are starving. Others oppose the capital punishment as they reckon that this kind of penalty is inhumane and against dignity. Furthermore, they think that it is not better than any other kind of murder.
All things considered, our country surely needs some changes, but I would not bring back the death penalty. In my opinion the government ought to build more prisons, doom people to public work, do something about the huge unemployment rate and should not allow petty thefts.

THE MOST ROMANTIC FIRST LINE BUT … THE LEAST ROMANTIC SECOND LINE:

Love may be beautiful, love may be bliss
But I only slept with you, because I was pissed.

*************************

I thought that I could love no other
Until, that is, I met your brother.

**************************

Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are

you. But the roses are wilting, the violets are dead, the
sugar bowl’s empty and so is your head.

**************************

Of loving beauty you float with grace
If only you could hide your face.

****************************

Kind, intelligent, loving and hot;
This describes everything you are not.

******************************

I want to feel your sweet embrace
But don’t take that paper bag off of your face.

*******************************

I love your smile, your face, and your eyes -
Damn, I’m good at telling lies!

************************************

My darling, my lover, my beautiful wife:
Marrying you screwed up my life.

************************************

I see your face when I am dreaming.
That’s why I always wake up screaming.

***************************************

My love, you take my breath away.
What have you stepped in to smell this way?

****************************************

My feelings for you no words can tell,
Except for maybe “go to hell”.

*****************************************

Death penalty or punishment as reform?

I don't agree whit this thought. A life wasn't given by the law so it shouldn't be taken away by it. I don't care if they use the excuse "An eye for an eye" it is not a way of making people pay for their crimes. A life is secret and can not be taken by anybody, not even the law!!!

Coca-Cola's sugar problem

Ok so… Here we go, English assignment.
Coca-Cola admitted to the fact that they “maybe put too much sugar in the drink” - to be exact 9 (nine!) spoon fulls of sugar/can!
image
British researchers have learned, that people who drink this, are mostly kids. Reaction to the sugar:

Till 1903 Coca-Colas main ingredients were carbon-dyoxcied water, sugar, and *drum roll*… Cocaine. I could have imagined the commercial: “Get free cocaine in a drink for only a $1.99”
Reactions if today this commercial would air:

But let’s admit it, those evil little sugar cubes, that look happy and dance around in you belly are also dancing around your heart and other intestines:

But everybody knows, that it’s not as happy as it seems. In fact, too much unhealthy food and sugar lead to obesity, which lead to diabetes, heart diseases and unfortunately cancer.

Ok, jokes aside, this is a really serious problem: in Brittany regulation have to be brought for this epidemic, and France will have to tax Coca-Cola products.  But about the regulations in Brittany, they can bring a rule like in Japan: Did you know, that it is illegal in Japan to be obese? No wander the people there look good
image
But hey, Cola is Cola, and everybody likes it (well except me…) And if they like to drink it too much, they will most certainly die in SWEET dreams :D. Am I right? Am I right?
OH COME ON, IT’S A GOOD PUN!!!

My Ideal NYE Celebration

This might sound cheese.... Scratch that, it is going to be cheese. My ideal celebration would't  even be in this country. It would be in New York, whit somebody I love very much. On that special day, he would be in a tuxedo and would look charming, while I... well I would dress up in a beautiful evening dress, but I wouldn't be that beautiful (I have self-esteem issues). Usually the rich people of NY go to see an Opera or a Broadway show. We would go see either Cats or The Book of Morons, and afterwards of to the skyscraper where we would have dinner after the show. The celebration begins there, since in the NY bourgeoisie have big parties in the Empire State Building, where we would have fun until the countdown where we kiss and drink champagne. Ah yes, that would be a great celebration...

If I had an alterego

Those people, who know me know that I have the crazy obbsetion with Doctor Who. Infact, I think I will be crownd Serbias biggest DW fan.

My alterego would be called Grace Green and she is 21 years old. She lives in London and auditions for the next companion of the Doctor. She would get  the role, and would have an ironic name like: Emily Angelson or something. She would have a perfect job and a perfect boyfriend named Timothy or simply Tim Hautekier (yes, this person exist). She would win a lot of awards and maybe someday she would win an Oscar for Best Actress.

Muhah, if it was so easy in real life, I would already be with the Doctor (Matt Smith) and have crazy adventures and good times... If only...
